I liked my stay here. Staff was super friendly, food was delicious and was definitely the best option in Yulara. Years ago I stayed at another hotel and this one tops it for sure.

We stayed at Sails in the Desert about a year ago, and it still stands out as a really special experience we often talk about. I was travelling with my partner and parents, and it was such a memorable stay. Each morning we looked forward to the Ilkari breakfast buffet, and the pool bar was perfect for a relaxed afternoon drink. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and I loved the local touch with the Wiru Quandong & Wattle Seed shampoo and conditioner. Housekeeping and laundry were both very helpful throughout our stay. The front desk team made everything easy — from maps and tour info to organising our helicopter experience, which was a highlight of the trip. The resort grounds are beautiful, and we also found some lovely jewellery in the gift shop that we still have today. The first day was a bit busy around the pool, which was a little challenging as I’d come from a busy hospital environment hoping for some quiet time. After that, though, it became much more peaceful and we were really able to relax and enjoy the experience.

Loved the entire 4 night stay here. Eating is expensive but excellent. Pool lovely, but note it is not heated. Gardens and all areas done well, plenty of options. Flies are annoying, so we didnt spend as much time outside lazing, as expected. But that's the area, not just the hotel.

Nice, comfortable stay and a great base for exploring the area. I stayed for two nights and found the parking conveniently close to my room, which made things easy. There were good options available at both dinner and breakfast. Overall, a pleasant stay and I would recommend it.

It’s remarkable how Sails in the Desert Resort blends so well with Uluṟu and surrounds. I was impressed that so many indigenous people gain employment opportunities there. Yes it’s expensive because of the cost of transportation to such a remote place, but it’s worth it. The rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious with a lovely outback vibe. Our room had a balcony with a view of Uluṟu, it was really hard to drag ourselves away. We found the staff lovely and would like to give a special shout out to Joe in the restaurant. So pack your sunscreen, hat and fly net and enjoy.

How beautiful is this place. Great rooms, fabulous food, friendly efficient staff and wonderful amenities. The whole resort is brilliant but this a cut above and we feel privileged to have stayed here.

Wow - fantastic location, 200m from the local square/shops. Rooms are quite large and well appointed. ALL STAFF are amazing - friendly, helpful, saying hello and mainly from Fiji. Food was fabulous Stayed end May/June - beautiful pool - bloody freezing. Weather was 8-28C A short walk to observation hill to watch sunrise and sunset. ONLY SUGGESTION- as a lot of older people with ailments the step up into the bus is quite large / A SMALL STEP ON THE GROUND TO HELP THE OLDER POPULATION CLIMB UP WOULD BE VERY HELPFUL.

The service at this hotel is seriously top-notch. It's not just about the 24-hour front desk being responsive to every request. When you check in, they'll give you a detailed tour of all the hotel facilities and shuttle bus information. They even double-check your flight details to make sure you make it to the airport smoothly. And here's the kicker: when I was an hour away from my flight and missed the free shuttle to the airport, the front desk offered to drive us there in their own car, no charge. Needless to say, we made it to the airport and boarded the plane without a hitch.
